Infection and Terror Update: Iceland is clean. No increase in terror or infection - The destruction of the tunnel and movement of cleaned persons by boat has prevented terror rising and infection from breaking out! Well done.
Funding Control: 8 go into the bank (no science?) for a total of $20
Agent Update: Agent unused
Military Update: The tunnel is gone! The homeguard are now in ireland and will be able to fortify it next turn.
Diplomatic Update: Iceland rejects your alliance - They have closed off their borders and withdrawn from the world.

Environmental FactorsYour scientists have increased their knowledge of the virus even further, studying how the virus reacts to differing conditions. Your first concern was temperature. How does the virus respond to heat/cold? Your findings were highly interesting. While intense cold does decrease cell metabolism, the virus appears to manufacture a sort of anti-freeze protein, allowing infected cells to continue viral production even in sub-zero conditions. The conclusion here is that low temperatures are unlikely to contain the virus. On the other hand, heat serves as an effective way to destroy the virus, denaturing the viral proteins that bind the virus to the host cell. Temperatures greater than 200 degrees Celsius tend to destroy the virus completely, although there is currently no way to also prevent the destruction of the host cell. Your scientists also researched the effects of humidity on the virus, although the results were somewhat disappointing. The virus appears to spread equally well in both dry and humid conditions, and it seems to be able to spread through water, a possible method of infection that escaped your notice earlier. Finally, your research also tried to pinpoint which mammalian species were susceptible to the infection. Along with the animals noted earlier in your research, popular food animals, including pigs, cows, sheep, and deer have been found to be susceptible. This is highly alarming. All slaughterhouses should be on high alert and should be outfitted with appropriate scanning technology as soon as possible. Because the virus is destroyed by high temperatures, all citizens should be told to cook their food very thoroughly to decrease risk of infection. Health PSAsWith your government lock-up on television, you can broadcast highly informative programs that detail the latest in infection prevention. These programs may need to be gruesome to get the message out, but anything less will not provide the protection needed against the disease. You may directly convert 1 point of Infection to 1 point of Terror, or vice versa, once per day.NEW TECH TREE: drive.google.com/file/d/0B_Pwy5np7dT9bWNnUHhmSmwyaFk/view?usp=sharing

So DEFCON is at 3, and I'll likely raise it to 2 tonight. Just in case nuclear strikes are the only option against the mutant threat.
Otherwise, continue controlled evacuations and also we should sweep the beaches to ensure infected sealife is not washed up on our shores.

Yeah, but we should also look at reducing refugees from other countries still infected in the general area.

I'm not sure we have the number of ships to do that yet. I can start moving the Second Fleet away from the Falklands.
Stilts I remember someone saying that Australia pulled an Iceland and sealed themselves off, so maybe pick a different country?

If we can't use boats to stall refugees from other countries, then we should have units at home scour the coastline, eliminating dead washed up infected sea life and quarantining any infected foreign nationals that do make landfall.

what are we thinking about for science? Firestarters, for sure, I assume.
