Oh, and Brazil's science minister sent me a PM to say his country and their allies support Europe. They seem like a strong ally, I'm glad they're on board.

This is really showing me the level of restraint that British leaders have had while making me question why they felt a war was necessary in the first place.
It's only 4700 square miles! There's only 3000 people there! WHY DID YOU SEND FRIGGIN' CARRIER GROUPS AND SPECIAL FORCES FOR AN ISLAND OF 3000 JUST LET THEM HAVE IT

Also Invictus just told me that Argentina is talking with U.S and China about Russia. This can't end well.

What would you think of sharing our findings about First Signs with the world?

It will help the whole world avoid infection, which is good. We could use the knowledge as leverage, but that might backfire on us.
I know South Africa has First Signs knowledge and may have shared it with others. So there's probably no point in hiding it.
I think we tell others about First Signs soon, and research protective equipment tomorrow, which we can then use as leverage, selling it to other countries.
I'm going to propose formalizing our research agreement with Germany, Brazil, and South Africa (+ Egypt if I can get a response from them). I want to exclude the USA for now, as their activities make me suspicious. If anyone asks, I'll say that our research agreement was temporary and we have not had cause to renew it.

Also, a quick update on what I've been doing. I told Argentina we were not willing to sell them the Falkands, and they responded with "That is unfortunate." Probably trying to just psych us out.
I also reminded the POTUS that the way they're dealing with Russia locks out NATO members who have a right to weigh in on what's happening to them, and that their tactics are troubling to us.

How do we feel about Brazil's request to become a NATO observer state? Is there something we should request of them in exchange?
It's worth noting that apparently their allies will not allow them to join NATO outright, although I'm not entirely sure of what that implies.

I'm all for the option of forcing Brazil and Argentina against each other by offering some kind of stimulus to have one of them turn in the other for stealing the bailout.

From the new American Military Commander:
"fwiw, I just had a convo with JFP and he is going to basically stop at nothing until he has control over Eastern Europe and expanding Russia's influence as much as possible.
He doesn't think he should be punished for invading Ukraine and Poland and he told me that "Sometimes in the real world, shit happens and you have to bear it for the greater good."
So, uh, that's the mindset that we are dealing with from Russia. It's kind of fitting, tbh."
Also apparently China promised the remaining funding for the Congo resolution.

I'd say let Brazil become an observer now to strengthen our ties, and then ask for favors later.
Otherwise our acceptance might look cynical and opportunistic to them.

New "offer" from Russian premier in thread.
Also I could have sworn that Butler got in the research order for personal air filters in time. Sent Fab a message about it.

New "offer" from Russian premier in thread. Which is yet another attempt to have us hand them Eastern Europe as "allies." Oh yeah, and I guess we can share.

What if we make Brazil an observer, then tell them that we know Argentina stole the bailout and we need their help in making sure they don't do anything like that again?
If Argentina was the thief, then we have an ally against them.
If Brazil is the thief, then they have a choice between acting against Argentina and pitting them against each other, or refusing and thus revealing themselves to us.
edit: ...now that I think about it, it's way simpler to say we'll give Brazil observer status if they turn in Argentina. Their behavior would tell us something.

Brazil has offered us partnership with SADPACT, if we sell the Falklands.
Let's not do that.
I think we should counter with the NATO observer thing-say we can't sell the Falklands because we think Argentina stole the bailout funds, ask for their help in exchange for a spot as an observer.

Can we directly quote gumpy in saying that either Brazil or South America was responsible in the theft? Or do we have to do more digging to be able to do that? If only!
You can certainly feel free to say how you came by the information, but you may not directly quote a host's private communications with you.
It is up to you to build an international reputation as a trustworthy nation!
