It seems now that Germany's diplomat is back, they're getting cold feet.
I've recently asked them about their reasoning, considering they immediately rejected a previous, similar proposal.

This Argentinian resolution is bad. With China's vote, and assuming all the SADPACT nations are on board, they've already got 5 of a needed 6 to make it pass.

They won't necessarily have all the SADPACT nations on board.
If Brazil voted for it, any hope they'd have of getting in on NATO would be sunk. I think our diplomacy is gonna help us here.

Can we directly quote gumpy in saying that either Brazil or South America was responsible in the theft? Or do we have to do more digging to be able to do that? If only!
You can certainly feel free to say how you came by the information, but you may not directly quote a host's private communications with you.
It is up to you to build an international reputation as a trustworthy nation!Hmm. If we invent story elements that we can say were verified by our agents, would the hosts corroborate those details if necessary? Ex. We say that our agent retrieved details that a vessel known to be involved in South America illegal operations was seen docked near Greek banks, etc?

That said, I also think it will be in our best interests to support Russia's proposal. It ain't perfect, but it's a lot less skewed towards them and gives us a way to keep an eye on them. No more going around our backs to talk with the US. They've gotta go through NATO.

Since Germany's going with Russia's proposal, I agree. We need allies, and having USA, Russia, and Germany as part of a NATO alliance gives us quite a bit of power-much more than SADPACT has.
As for the Falkland situation, Brazil's scientist has indicated to me that they support Argentina's claim. We may have to play hardball using the NATO observer membership.
Edit: I think we should contact Russia and say we'll support their proposal if they agree to oppose Argentina's claim to the Falklands.

Russia actually proposed that agreement themselves.

I think we don't have any choice. I think we have to, under protest, agree to Russia's terms.
While planning where to put the dagger in their back.

The hosts will pretty much always stay out of the actual politics of the game. We're here to handle the mechanics.
You're free to say whatever you want. The hosts will neither confirm nor deny your claims.

Yes, but say we created 'retrieved documentation' outlining what our agent found and passed this on to other member states. If they expended resources verifying the retrieved documentation, would the hosts give them confirmation about whether the details enclosed were accurate or not?

I don't think so.
Edit: Oh, misread your sentence. If someone put their agent to do the same thing ours did, then yes, they'd probably verify it, unless someone dedicated their agent to fooling ours that turn
Which is a bit paranoid

Apparently the Congo situation still ended up $2 million short.
If you felt like spending the funds, we could jump in and gain some brownie points.
